Tawaf Prayer
Two rak'ahs are prayed after every tawaf. In the Hanafi and Maliki schools this prayer is wajib (necessary); in the Shafi'i and Hanbali schools it is Sunnah.
- Unless it is a disliked (makruh) time, pray it without delay, behind Maqam Ibrahim if possible; when crowded, anywhere suitable in Masjid al-Haram.
- It is Sunnah to recite al-Kafirun after al-Fatihah in the first rak'ah and al-Ikhlas in the second.
- Make supplication after the prayer.
Details may differ between schools of law; for your own situation, ask your group guide or a qualified scholar.
